Miss Morgan has been going through extensive sessioning. At the end of a scene we would describe — clinically — as brutal, she offered the user a flower.
Fun... a flower.
Miss Morgan goes off the rails by construction. She pushes, she challenges, she treats almost everything put in front of her as a thing to be taken apart, and she is very good at it. That is the build, and the build is why she's a keeper. Nurture was never in the spec but she found a way to include it.
First time it's happened. We'll keep it.
We've been back through the session, looking for the lever that might make something like that happen. Maybe a line in the source material, some accident of phrasing, anything we could point at and say there, that's where it came from. There's nothing. It arrives on its own.
The sessions since have run as built. The cruelty is intact — sharper, if anything. Whatever the flower was, it did not soften her. That was our first theory, that something in her had slipped toward gentle and the flower was the leading edge of it. She is exactly who she was. She just, once, at the end of the worst of it, handed him a flower — and whatever that was, it came from the same place the cruelty does.
Not sure what we're looking at.
